Eeenix website shuts down

The Eeenix website, which was started by Eeeuser member bby_Ghost in his efforts to lead development of an alternate Linux-based OS for the Asus Eee PC 701, shut down last week. bby_Ghost cited “a bit of a catastrophic meltdown” that he and Eeenix suffered as the reason for quitting but did not elaborate.

But almost immediately, the project was picked up by another member, pcfy2 and renamed XEEEX. You can follow the discussion in this thread. Hopefully this latest effort will bear fruit even as we wonder if the Asus Eee PC 701 will be released soon enough.
