Nokia N800 price drop - anticipating the Asus Eee PC?

From reader Bob Carroll, Las Vegas --- New City Vegas

I noticed that the 800x480 pixel bluetooth + 802.11g wifi Nokia N800 is now $239 with free shipping at Buy.com. I wonder if this is a reaction to the soon-to-be competition from the EEE?

----------

For those unfamiliar with the Nokia N800, here is the write-up, direct from the Buy.com site. Incidentally, the direct link to the N800 page is here.

Let me see. Wifi? Check. Webcam? Check. Screen? 4.1" 800 x 480 touchscreen. Bluetooth? Check. USB? mini-USB port. Card slots? 2 SD. CPU? 320Mhz TI. RAM - 128MB. Flash storage - 256MB -uhm. Keyboard? No keyboard. Arggggh. It only has a virtual keyboard. Darn. That is the deal breaker for me. But I gotta admit, I am still thinking of getting one. Who knows, when the Asus Eee PC finally becomes available, the N800's price might drop down to $199. Then it becomes the ultimate bring anywhere, "throw-away" mobile blogging device (that the Asus Eee PC was originally meant to be.) Now where did I put all those old mini-keyboards...
