Pocketables has a review of the Asus Eee PC 2G Surf. The review is summarized in a list of reasons on why not to buy it. Basically the issues are regarding performance, available storage, fewer apps, soldered RAM, battery life, space bar responsiveness, touchpad responsiveness, mouse buttons, boot time and the price.

In fairness to the 2G Surf, issues re the space bar, touchpad, and touchpad buttons actually apply to the other Asus Eee PC models as well. Still, the other reasons are compelling enough for a potential buyer to consider the higher models.
