Tiny Notes Net Big Gains: The Netbook Revolution

According to Gadget Lab nine out of the top 10 best-selling laptops on Amazon are netbooks. Over 2008, manufacturers shipped 10 million netbooks. ABI Research forecasts that 200 million ultra-mobile devices, including netbooks will be sold by 2013. It is roughly the same figure projected for the entire laptop market worldwide. While netbooks are hardly revolutionary, it is their relatively low price point (under $500) and portability that makes them attractive.

And as processing power increases, battery life gets longer, netbooks will only become more popular. The only issue is keeping the price point low.
