Asus Confirms It is Targeting OLPC Market

In a PCMag article, Asus Pitches Eee PC at Desperate Housewives, Donald Leung, product manage for Asus, was quoted as saying -

"Students are the majority of our targets...Another category is stay-at-home moms who like to search recipes and do online auctions and whatnot..."

Asus is also working to develop machines that are under $200 in order to follow the trend of providing affordable computers for children around the world, Leung said. However, none of the current models costs less than $200 – yet, anyway.

Isn't that Negroponte's One Laptop Per Child Foundation's game plan?
