Neat trick for charging devices through USB

There's an interesting thread in the Eeeuser forum regarding charging USB devices via the Asus Eee PC -

Member jraff noted he could recharge his Creative Zen MP3 player through the Eee PC's USB port even when the Eee PC's shut down. If he plugs his Zen in and waits until the Zen is charging/getting power, and then shuts down the Eee completely, the power still goes through to my Zen. topnode added that the right-hand side USB port, the one right beside the right shift key works best.

Actually, as Doktor Jones pointed out, most laptops provide USB power while on standby as long as they're connected to AC, and some even provide it when completely shut down. Still it is nice to know the Asus Eee PC has this capability.
