Intel Convertible Classmate PC: The Touch Netbook to Emulate

From Laptop Mag -

Intel will officially release its tablet style Classmate PC at the 2009 CES in Las Vegas. Intel's units are produced by its OEM partner CTL. Aside from the swiveling 8.9" touch screen, it will have a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, a 60 GB hard drive, and Windows XP. It will also be preloaded with software that takes advantage of the touchscreen including Vision Objects Pen Input, which turns handwriting into editable text and contains a virtual keyboard.

The new Convertible Classmate will not replace the original clamshell Classmate PC (aka the CTL 2go PC) but will be sold alongside the latter.
