China-based Hasee launches a low-cost PC to compete with Eee PC

From Digitimes -

China-based Hasee will launch the Q540X, a low-cost PC on December 6 to compete with the Asus Eee PC. Specs include 13.3-inch display, a Celeron 540 and a 80GB hard drive, and the system will have a total weight of only 2.19kg. Pricing will be 2999 yuan (US$405), the same as that of the Eee PC in China.

The Eee PC's display and keyboard have been criticized as not being not suitable for children and the elderly, while the performance is worse than that expected of the Q540X.
