MSI has announced the availability of the new Wind U123, which features the new Intel® Atom™ 1.66 GHz N280, EasyFace identification software and an enlarged 10.2" LCD, and either a 6-cell or 9-cell battery. It is the first Wind to be available in red and blue, in addition to the standard grey and white and is now available from several online stores like Amazon, Newegg, Buy, and J&R. MSRP is USD379.99.
Unfortunately, the more exciting U123T (which packs a TV tuner) and U123H (which includes a 3.5G HSDPA WWAN module) are still not available.

MSI Wind U123 Unboxing

Portable Monkey has unboxing photos of a 10" MSI Wind 123, which is an upgrade over the U120. Specs include: 10" 1024x600 Display, Intel Atom 280 (1.66GHz), Intel 945GSE chipset, GMA950 graphics, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.3MP Webcam, 2.5” 160GB HDD, HD Audio, Windows XP Home SP3, 3 lbs with a 6-Cell 5200mAh battery, 5-in-1 multi-card reader, VGA, 3x USB 2.0, microphone, headphone and LAN ports. The dimensions are 260mm x 180mm x 19.75nmm.
There are no back access panels but you can unscrew the entire bottom encasing to upgrade your HDD and RAM. Note though opening up your machine could void your warranty.

MSI Wind U123 Coming In April

MSI will be relaasing its 10.2" Atom N280-based Wind U123, set to compete against the Asus Eee PC 1000HE, which uses the same new Intel Atom N280 processor. It will be available with either six-cell or nine-cell batteries and in four colors - white, metallic black, blue, and burgundy red.
MSI also plans on releasing its MSI Wind U115 in late March. The Atom Z530 powered unit has both a conventional hard drive and an SLC solid state drive and will be priced at over $500.
