Ubuntu Eee which started as a one man quest but which quickly developed into a team project has gone gold. It is different from other Linux distros in that it is intended for a specific computer model, namely the Asus Eee PC. In addition, various applications have been bundled to make it a complete environment.
Ubuntu Eee 8.10 will be even more customized for the small screen and may use the Netbook Remix interface.
