Toshiba has formally launched its entry into subnotebook market with its NB100 - an 8.9in unit with a 1024 x 600 display, Intel 1.6GHz Atom N270, 512MB or 1GB RAM, up to 120GB hard drive, 0.3-megapixel webcam, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and the usual complement of USB, VGA, audio and Ethernet ports. It will come in "Cosmic Black", "Champagne Gold" and "Bright Silver" and supports both Windows XP and Linux. It will go on sale next month with prices starting at £260.
