Asus plans to develop an affordable educational robot for kids called the EeeBot. The robot uses software based on the Android mobile OS as part a Taiwan government project to promote Android. The company will work on hardware and software as part of the project, which will focus on building content and services around the robot. Technologies involved include human robot interaction (HRI), voice and visual technologies, as well as positioning and navigation, in addition to software and other hardware.
