The unit has a 7" screen and runs Linux with an XP lookalike interface. Ironically it will be the first commercial machine to fall within Microsoft's target price of under $700 for UMPC. Other specs include a weight of 890 grams, 22.5 x 16.5 x 3.5 cm dimensions, 16G flash disk, 10/100Mbit Ethernet, a 56K modem, 11b/g Wifi, and a 0.3 megapixel videocamera.
Asus chairman Jonney Shih is predicting sales of 200,000 units for this year alone.
