For users who might be planning to use the Asus Eee more as an off-line stand-alone computer, WiFi hard drives might be a good storage option. While the additional bulk may lessen the convenience of portability, storing all peripherals in a bag would solve the problem. After all, users are likely to tote their Eee's in a bag. The good thing is that WiFi drives need not be taken out of the bag to use them.
Right off the bat, I can think of only two - Wi Drive from EDS Lab and Seagate D.A.V.E. from Seagate. The Wi Drive comes in 20G, 40G and 60G capacities, the Seagate D.A.V.E.s come in 10G or 20 G models.
Hopefully, these will have drivers for the Xandros Linux that will come bundled with the Asus Eee.
Of course, for lesser requirements, USB flash drives should be sufficient.
