Sony has launched its "Signature Collection" - a series of jazzed up models wrapped in designer skins, including colored fake croc skins. Included in the collection is a limited run (1,000) of the VAIO P (P699E/Q). The $1,999 model comes with a 1.86GHz CPU and a 256GB SSD.

Hmmm. Here I am thinking the Vaio P was expensive in the first place. Someone must have thought it wasn't expensive enough. I guess when you'r e in the price bracket / market niche of the Vaio P, doubling the price doesn't make much difference to the buyers.
