VIA has announced its new Nano 3000 Series processors, which take a direct aim at Intel's Atom. The new Nano 3000 offers enhanced digital media performance and less power consumption for ultrathin notebooks and nettops.
They are clocked between 1GHz and 2GHz with an 800MHz FSB, and feature SSE4 instructions, hardware virtualization, 1080p video playback, and Windows 7 and Linux compatibility. Mass production will begin in the 1Q2010.
